Well my name is chris and i was playing guild wars like 1 year ago(before any update come up).. i desided to come back now but as i see there are many changes and updates came up since the time i have to play.. i want u to help me out by telling me what updates whall i purchase and with what order shall i get them. if you only have the prophecies campaign (the first one) i guess you could just go and buy the expansion which comes out in half a month (Eye of the North).
As for the rest : both Factions and Nightfall have pro's and con's, although Nightfall is slightly nicer i guess, with a longer storyline, and heroes (customizable henchmen) which are realy cool to use in PvE (and usually better than your average PUG) |

If you are happy with Prophecies then might as well wait for EOTHN to come out,Factions is ok with the option of joining Aliance Battles with rival Faction,and as stated above Nightfall Heroes are a lot better than Henchmen with the option of chossing their armour/weapons/skills and also beiing able to flag them so they dont attack everything!

If you want to PvP on a serious level, you should have all expansions, however if you're just in it for PvE perhaps you should just get EotN. I would suggest getting Nightfall aswell though, it has a lot of good skills (plus heroes as aforementioned) in it.
